Who We Are


As y'all know by now...



 "A Pillow Away" is a heartwarming podcast hosted by Dave and Cindy, a couple who have been married for over 23 years. In each episode, they share their insights and stories about the importance of the person closest to you in life - your partner. Through their honest and candid conversations, Dave and Cindy explore the challenges and joys of marriage and relationships, and offer practical advice for how to cultivate a strong and lasting connection with the ones you love. Whether you are in a relationship or looking for one, "A Pillow Away" is a must-listen for anyone seeking to deepen their connections and build a fulfilling life with those closest to them.

Our intent with this podcast is or was to assist people that are looking for help in understanding their relationships or help with improving their relationships. However, Cindy has really blossomed quickly and become quite the star on our podcast! I'm glad that she is receiving so much love from our listeners. I have always enjoyed creating and have outlets such as painting, drawing, and wood working. This relationship podcast has opened new doors to creativity for both of us. I have always wanted to be on radio and have listened to various radio programs over the years. Podcasting allows me to explore that desire. I didn't know until I approached Cindy with the idea of this podcast that she would want to do this and to my surprise he is really very good!

What makes us worth listening to?

   1. Between the two of us we have over 30 years of experience in public service. There are a lot of shared           experiences and really interesting stories to come about our life as public servants.

   2. We are real people! There is nothing that we talk about with you that isn't something that we have                     experienced, lived, or felt.


   3. I'm old school, conservative, and basically a dinosaur by today's standards. I don't enjoy change but have        embraced a certain amount of change because of our relationship. Cindy is much more open to new               experiences than I am and has usually been the driving force behind our trying new things. However, we          did get to do and try a lot of different things during my time as a training instructor for the national pipeline           industry.

   4. We really are trying to reach as many people as we can because we both know that our world is changing         rapidly and there are a lot of people that are struggling. So, maybe you spend some time listening because        you are looking for answers or maybe you send some time listening because our story telling brings back           great memories in your life? 

   5. We are planning on adding guests to our podcast - So, if you want to be considered or know someone             that would be a great interview for this podcast please make a recommendation and contact us.

Answers - Not What We Wanted to Hear

  Cindy finally received a diagnosis of the respiratory issues that she has had for quite some time.  Unfortunately, the news isn’t the best - She has a genetic disorder called Alpha-1.   This disorder can have significant effects on the liver and lungs. Hers is affecting her lungs and is the cause of the edema she was found to have.    I know this news might be tough to hear as there is no cure for Alpha 1, but she is determined to take it one day at a time and together we will manage her condition with the help of her doctors. I'm grateful for the love and support of our family and friends during this time.
